Come Celebrate and Share the Love of Christ

Sunday February 5,2011

5th Sunday after Epiphany

Prayer Intentions

Holy God, we ask your blessing on us today as we gather in Vestry to do the business of your church family. Remind us that this meeting is about more than our building and our community, but about reaching out to your world, a world that is suffering. Help us to be agents of change

We pray for those who have asked us to pray for them :Sheila, Ruth, Lourena, Ken, Kayla, David, Catalina, Cathy, Ruth, Ray, Sandy, Noreen, Winifred, Eric, Shane, Bill serving in Afghanistan, Ted, Mary, Anna, Pam, Bill, Colin.

The Altar Flowers are given to the Glory of God

Daily Bread Basket toilet paper, kleenex, soap and hand sanitizer

Bazaar - the bazaar committee has decided to have a "jewellery" table at our next bazaar. This has proven very popular and profitable at other churches. So if you have any costume jewellery, scarves or other accessories please think of the "box" at the back of the church. Thank you for being involved.

Study Group - it's a new year, so it's a totally new idea study group called, "What's Music Got To Do With It."  If you were asked to summarize the theological meaning of your favourite hymn, could you do it?  When you hear a song on the radio that moves you, can you pinpoint the spirituality behind it?  The study will continue for the next three Thursdays and will explore the meaning behind YOUR music, secular or sacred, in a joint study with Holy Trinity, at Holy Trinity beginning at 7 pm.

.

VESTRY – will convene today after the 10:30 service. Mini reports are available at the back of the Church and at the meeting in the large hall. Full reports can be viewed on our website www.ststephenslondon.com . In addition full copies of the Vestry Report can be obtained by calling the office.
